CALLING ALL REVOLUTIONARY STORYTELLERS
a rev·o·lu·tion·ar·y /ˌrevəˈlo͞oSHəˌnerē/ causes dramatic change
“The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.” - Toni Cade Bambara
DEADLINE TO APPLY: MARCH 15, 2026
WHO WILL OUR 2026 REVOLUTIONARY STORYTELLERS BE?
Because stories don’t just have to reflect culture—they have the power shape it.
Through this program, we provide financial support, mentorship, training, and a global solidarity network. But more importantly, we give storytellers permission to create from the heart—to take risks and to imagine boldly.
These are more than photographers–they are cultural changemakers who are visually mapping collective liberation.
We are looking for stories ranging from land and water protection, Indigenous science and wisdom, climate change, regeneration, and everything in between. Stories taking place in biodiversity hotspots are a bonus. Your work should support grassroots, frontline communities with specific, measurable impact goals that relate land and/or water protection.
ThE PROGRAM includes:
$5000 USD cash grant to produce a story and small community exhibition.
Training and capacity development program via 1:1 and group workshops for 9 months.
Features across our platforms and a publication in our print magazine.
A 1-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.
Open worldwide. You must be a PWB member to apply. Read the terms and conditions here.
