ABOUT our community PARTNER
Established in 2016, this organization’s mission is to give the most vulnerable refugees and host children the best possible opportunities for growth. They want these children to grow up with confidence and a mission for their future. Therefore, they want them to be protected, educated and integrated into society.
The organization’s main activities/projects include: working with boarding schools for refugee and vulnerable children in Kampala; soliciting funds to sponsor vulnerable children’s education; providing accommodations for 50 refugees and vulnerable host children in Kampala; purchase and supply the beneficiaries with scholastic materials; engage the children in extracurricular activities during holidays; providing psycho-social support to refugee children.

You will attend orientation, meet the organization’s Director and staff, as well as the children at their centre. The images will be used for fundraising purposes, their website, as well as communication materials and social media updates. The organization would like to use the individual photos of the children for their sponsorship program and other promotions of the organization in the media.
Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism (and videography)
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient
Respect to cultural sensitivity as you will be working with vulnerable people on sensitive topics
