Founded in 2013, this NGO’s mission is to empower vulnerable communities in Malawi, including women and people living with HIV/AIDS, so that they can which can take part in rural development initiatives. Their projects aim to improve gender equity and HIV/AIDS care by promoting women empowerment, helping girls to complete school, and addressing stigma against HIV/AIDS+ communities.

The photographer will be responsible for documenting three of the NGO’s project sites. The photographer will be documenting initiatives that help keep girls safe in schools, by providing menstrual pads and equipping schools with better hygiene facilities for girls, as well as the HIV prevention education program, which includes anti-stigma campaigns.
The photos will be used for fundraising purposes, social media, and other communications to motivate their existing supports and attract new supporters. Your images will also be shared by PWB to help support the work of the NGO and the PWB program.
Your job is to demonstrate the impact of the NGO through your storytelling and help convey to donors and grant programs the value of their financial support. Your images should tell a story that highlights experiences of local women and girls and the NGO’s mission to promote equity, health and well-being.
Experience in overseas development
Experience travelling abroad in developing nations
Sensitivity towards people who are HIV positive
·Experience in photo-documentary or photojournalism
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) original article of 600-800 words, written in third-person, upon completion of the project, to complement the images of this assignment.
