Established in 2014, this community-based organisation is located in a small village in the Asembo region in the north west part of Kenya. Over the last two decades, this community has experienced an unprecedented amount of deaths due to HIV/AIDS. This inspired the organization to establish prevention and education programs in order to stop further spread of this epidemic.
Their mission is to achieve social solidarity and assist the people of the community in becoming self-reliant, empowered individuals who lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. Their main goals include eradicating illiteracy and improving health education; increasing food production through sustainable agriculture; improving the health of the community members; empowering women and youth.
SDGs: No poverty, good health and well-being, gender equality
