ABOUT THE CHARITY
This human rights organization educates and serves communities to end discrimination based on sexuality and gender in Guyana. They are committed to enabling access to basic, human services, providing referrals and developing programmes and researches solutions to address sexual health, mental health, literacy and remedial education, entrepreneurship and employment, emergency shelter and housing for LGBT people.
PROJECT DETAILS
The photographer/videographer will be introduced to the NGO’s team, and work closely with them to produce documentary photos (or video)-essays. He/she will visit the NGO’s key project sites, meet their Board Directors, UN partners, and attend their Gender & Sexual Diversity Training in Georgetown. The photos/videos will be used for their website, social media, and for a 15thanniversary photo-exhibition celebrating the impact of their work in Guyana.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
Proficient in photography/videography
Willingness to immerse in local cultures
Understanding and appreciation for different cultures and ways of life
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Open to new experiences
Understanding of sexual orientation and gender diversity
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) article 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.

Experience travelling abroad
