ABOUT our community PARTNER
Established in 2004, this organization aims to create opportunities for Guatemalan youth to reach their academic, personal and professional potential, and thus transform their future.
Offering educational support, vocational training, and extracurriculars, this NGO has built a holistic program that also includes psycho-social support, workshops, club activities, and volunteerism. The NGO aims to maintain an equal gender ratio, and to support students from various ethnic backgrounds, both rural and urban.
SDGs: No poverty, Quality Education, Gender Equality
The photographer will be introduced to the organization’s founders, staff and coordinators. The photographer will attend and document their annual gathering with all scholars and parents in Antigua. As well, the photographer will visit the NGO’s partner project in San Mateo, along with project site in Santiago Zamora and Cobán. The images (and videos, if possible) will be used for reporting and fundraising purposes via their website, social media, as well as featured by PWB.
Your job is to demonstrate the impact of the NGO through your storytelling and help convey to donors and grant programs that their work is worthy of financial support. Your images should tell a story that highlights experiences of community members and the NGO’s mission to promote education in rural areas.
Experience in overseas development and travelling in developing nations
Proficient in photo-documentary/photojournalism (and videography)
Experience using editing software (Photoshop, InDesign)
