ABOUT THE partner
This NGO supports women who are, have been, or at risk of being in conflict with the law. The NGO advocates for alternatives to the criminal justice system, educates the public about realities of women in conflict in the law and provides direct support to women. They aim to address the social and economic issues women face after coming into conflict with the law.
Their services include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, release planning, referrals, transitional housing, employment and community education. The organization is committed to: agency, dignity, diversity, innovation, and resilience.

The Associate will visit the organization’s offices, take part in community activities across their project sites, and take photos of their services.
During the project, the Associate will be required to organize a workshop for the NGO’s team on photography and storytelling.
The images will be used for the NGO’s website and social media platforms to share their story and drive awareness for an underserved population.
Understanding and experience working with high-risk and vulnerable populations
Storytelling - Must submit a minimum of one (1) original article, 800-1000 words upon completion of the project, to complement the images/footage of this assignment.
Teaching/workshop facilitator skills – PWB CAMERA PROGRAM PROJECT
Proficient in photography
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Experience using editing software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign)
Adaptable to new and different situations, flexible and patient
The Associate will need to undergo a background/vulnerable sector screening check
